Summary / objective

This role is responsible for the management and administration of company Payroll while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timeliness of payroll responsibilities.

The ability to process employees’ paychecks by collecting their payroll data and timesheets. Communicate discrepancies to Controller and to employees.

Assist in streamlining the payroll process by identifying areas for performance improvement. Exercise integrity and confidentiality in payroll reporting and comply with national and local financial requirements.

• Understand all aspects of payroll with regards to payroll laws and regulations
• Administer and participate in payroll processing activities for various payroll groups including the preparation, processing, and balancing of payroll.

Ensure all information received from data and manual data sources is entered into the system without error. Utilize internal or external payroll technologies for payroll processing activities.

• Administer retirement program (401(k)).
• Reconciles monthly benefit bills and addresses errors or issues in collaboration with Human Resources.
• Utilize ADP software for payroll data input, processing, and reporting.
• Reconcile payroll transactions quarterly and for end of year W2 processing.
• Participate in the review and preparation of data necessary for the filing of payroll related tax returns and miscellaneous withholding forms.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives; supports the development and maintenance of payroll process documentation.
• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed timely and accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service to employees.
• Process and record 401K, HSA, and garnishment payments.
• Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
